Services

PaperBanana provides AI-powered tools for generating academic and scientific illustrations, including:

• Text to Illustration: Generate illustrations from text descriptions
• Image to Illustration: Transform images into academic illustration style
• Illustration Editor: Refine and edit generated illustrations

Our services operate on a credit-based system with both subscription plans and pay-as-you-go credit packages.

User Accounts

When you create an account, you must provide accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You may register via Google OAuth or email.

Credits and Payments

• Credits are required to generate illustrations. Each generation consumes a specific number of credits based on the tool used.
• Subscription plans provide monthly credit allocations. Unused credits carry over and do not expire.
• One-time credit packages are available for pay-as-you-go usage.
• All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are listed in USD.
• Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact support for refund requests.

Intellectual Property

• PaperBanana and its underlying technology, branding, and platform design are our intellectual property.
• You retain ownership of the text prompts and images you upload to our platform.

Generated Content

• You are granted a broad license to use AI-generated illustrations for personal, academic, and commercial purposes, including use in research papers, presentations, and publications.
• We do not claim ownership of the illustrations generated through your use of our tools.
• You acknowledge that AI-generated content may occasionally produce unexpected results, and you are responsible for reviewing generated illustrations before use.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use our services to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer our AI models or platform infrastructure
• Circumvent credit limits, account restrictions, or authentication systems
• Resell or redistribute access to our services without authorization
• Use automated tools to abuse our API or generation endpoints
• Create multiple accounts to exploit free tier benefits

Service Availability

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available." We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. Upon termination, your access to the platform and any remaining credits may be revoked.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PaperBanana shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

Changes to Terms
